There is so much happening in the area of Medical Education – new information, new products, new findings, clinical trials. It’s a challenge to ensure everyone has the most up-to-date information and training they need to be effective. We were approached by a pharmaceutical company to develop a comprehensive, worldwide-accessible, password-protected, online, storage facility that would allow industry professionals to retrieve information about clinical trials, publications, meetings, symposiums, current training, presentation guidelines and other important dates and notices. We built an eDetail portal protected by user registration requirements. On this site doctors, researchers, Key Opinion Leaders can find out the most current information about their drug of choice.
Analysis
This tool is an information storage and retrieval site. Articles are constantly being written detailing research updates, clinical trials, new releases. It becomes difficult trying to make sure everyone knows there is new information, how to request it and how to disseminate it. There must be a better way.

It became apparent there was a clear need for an organized, coordinated, single access point to keep track of research data. We worked with the pharmaceutical company to create a tool that was unique to their needs and gave them the flexibility to grow.
